This place is great! Yesterday was the first time in my life that I've been to the same restaurant and got the same thing in the same day. The rotisserie chicken is amazing, the skin is crispy and the best tasting of my life. The meat is flavorful down to the bone, unlike places like boston market where the meat loses flavor past the skin. The chicken comes with a pretty good hummus and pita. Great deal, only 6.99 for a quarter chicken meal. They also have chicken and beef schwarma which looks amazing. A MUST TRY that will easily become A STAPLE.

I was born and raised here in Los Angeles, and I have been blessed with an extremely W I D E spectrum of options and possibilities when it comes to Food. (ie: you name it, i've tried it!) So take it from me, Zankou is one of the best-tasting, healthiest, fairest-priced food options around. If you're don't consider yourself 'experienced' when it comes to International Cuisine (foreign foods) then this is the perfect place to try something new! The flavors are very 'familiar' to most people, and the ones that aren't are 'mild' enough not to offend even the most fearful food adventurer! My family and I eat their food at least three times a month, sometimes more. Great portions, high quality food.

As the title describes Zankou is an LA institution, great chicken schwarma, Chicken Tarna is exceptional as are the lamb kebabs... even better is the babaganouch and the main reason to come here the addictive GARLIC BUTTER.... all dishes come with pita, hummus, pickled beets and salad. Excellent value. You definitely don't come here for the florescent light atmosphere! Take out is a good option if you are looking for that!

If you want a quick bite to eat, this is the place to go. Pretty good food for its value. I recommend the chicken shwarma sandwich or the 1/4 dark chicken plate. The place is a little rundown, but you go fo the food -- not the ambiance.
