Woody's Bar-B-Que

This place looks like a run-down shack. there is no place to sit down and eat. But the most amazing BBQ comes out of this place. I don't know what they do to their ribs, but the flavor is infused so deep into the meat, that you hardly need BBQ sauce. But the sauce is really good. Very complex, deep smokey flavor. I normally like spicy, but their mild BBQ sauce is so flavorful, I actually prefer it. The beef brisket is the best. I normally don't like BBQ chicken because it is usually dry and bland. But their chicken is so juicy and flavorful. The side items are not very good, however. If their side items could improve, I would give it a 5.

I live in Pasadena and occasionally take a drive to LA to get my BBQ.I went to Woody's BBQ this past weekend.The lines were super long due to the holiday but If you want some great BBQ, go to Woody's in Inglewood. Their meat is so tender and their sauce (get the medium) is a perfect mix. They also have this new cake called sweet potato praline that is one of the best cakes I have ever tasted!!!The people there are really nice too and if you want to eat in, they have an eating area although it's just that; a place to eat. I should have bought more because I had finished almost half of my order on the way home!

I Don't know why more people don't talk about this place. It's like it's a closely guarded secret. I do agree though, the place isn't much, but the food is awsome. I haven't found any other BBQ joint that can come close to this place. If you want atmospher, and fancy prices...Go to Lucilles, or Wood Ranch, but if your looking for some serious BBQ go to Woody's

Try the beef ribs or chicken it's all superb. The hot BBQ is way spicy. 2 tables outside are it so it's takeout.
