    Delicious, awesome service

Brought my dad here for Father's Day. When we arrived they were very busy and the host seemed stressed out, but we were seated quickly at the outdoor table we had requested. The host and our waiter then spent the entire rest of our meal being ridiculously nice and attentive, telling my dad happy father's day, recommending delicious dishes (I'll get to that next), and generally being extremely competent. At the end of the meal the host says "How about some chocolate cake on the house for Father's Day." Duh, yes please. Then when we get the bill the waiter comps us our two mimosas because he thought his service wasn't as good as it should have been because they were so busy. I incredulously said "we thought the service was great," and he said well, they're on me, then he shook my dad's hand and said happy Father's Day. My dad and I were completely beside ourselves after all this. On to the food: I had huevos rancheros ($9), dad had filet mignon and eggs ($16), we both had coffee ($2.50) and mimosas ($9), then the ridiculously delicious chocolate cake (no idea, they comped it!). Huevos were yummy, came with jasmine rice and really nice breakfast potatoes, the sauce was a green, just slightly spicy sauce. My dad raved about the filet (I'm a vegetarian so I can't confirm, good sized portion though), and he isn't much of one to rave unless something is really good. Coffee was perfect - we didn't need cream and sugar and just had it black - mimosas were AWESOME, fresh squeezed OJ, highly recommend you get them. The chocolate cake was INSANE. it's called the Brazilia and has some sort of crisp cookie in the crust and tasted a it hazlenut-y to me. Just perfect.

I was coming to this bistro since the day it opened ,

I instantly fell in love with their alvaro sandwich- which is a chicken Sandwich topped off with a beautiful Spanish Cheese- recently I ordered 1 to come pick up & take home . After realizing the 2 nd bit I took - IT HAD BACON in it / I have never never ate that animal in my life- I was disgusted , annoyed - I contacted the owner - he was very kind - that chef needs to focus on what he's doing back there - I vowed to never come back , but u never know - but right now this is my least favorite eating establishment in LA
