Not recommended
If you want a nice, reliable breakfast spot then AVOID this place at all costs. Yes, it is trendy, and sitting outside in LA for breakfast can be fun, but the perks of Toast end there. Our server was rude and kept forgetting things. The food was overpriced especially considering how lousy it was. If you are like me then you pay this much money to enjoy yourself when you eat out. Rather than going to Toast, save a little money and go to Le Pan or Urth Cafe on Melrose. At least you will have great service and decent food.

No thanks.
Visiting from out of town, we decided to give this trendy breakfast spot a try. Big mistake. The food was really tasty, but the compliments end there. We sat outside, so I can't really comment to the atmosphere. But our server was awful; I felt like we were messing up his day somehow. There are so many better places in LA.

need of better service
Food and atmosphere was appropriate but the hostess needs better client service. Also no butter for my toast. It wasn't what I had expected for my TOAST experience.

Overrated
After seeing loads of people lined up on the sidewalk every weekend, we finally gave it a shot. Brunch was average. Menu choices didn't read THAT impressive. The best part of Toast was the good LOOKING dessert case. Yummy looking cupcakes were not that big of a deal now that there are so many other great cupcake choices. Pretty relaxing atmosphere though.

High priced eggs
Sunday brunch, so very busy but the staff is efficient. I ordered 4 poached eggs with toast...but you only get 1 piece toast, and it comes out unbuttered. Had to send two back, and they were returned with one egg yolk already broken...the waitress seemed annoyed that I told her that I wouldn't be eating or paying for it. The coffee was some of the worst restaurant coffee anywhere...bland. So...if you're going to pay $10 for eggs and toast...you should get twice the value and quality than $5.

Trendy for a reason
Breakfast is worth the crowd. Wait staff is polite. The food's terrific. Lunch time is a bit too crowded - as Yogi Berra once said, "The place is so crowded no one goes there anymore."

Salad
The best cesar salad with chicken in LA I think :)
