I'm sooooo full!!!!
I ate here once so far, HUGE portions--enough for three people, had County Steak-two large slabs, about a can of green beens (bland), lots of mashed potatoes and gravy, and a medium sized loaf of fresh bread---plenty to take home for later. It was fun to eat here considering the history and original feel to the place.

A Gem
As a native LA kid, I had been wanting to hit up The Pantry for many years - recently made it in and was worth the wait. Perfect place to go before a Laker/Clipper game - service was quick and the food was awesome. Had the Baked Chicken smothered in gravy with awesome potatoes and decent green beans. Place is a landmark and look forward to trying some other items. Heard the apple pie is out of this world but cannot verify. Cheers!

Great breakfasts
The Pantry has great breakfasts! It's owned by former mayor Riordon and has totally become an LA landmark. The food isn't fancy -- just simple, delicious and reasonably priced. Everyone from the white collar suits to the blue collar joes can be found here. But remember, they only take cash.

Home Cookin'
The Pantry's food is good, sticks to your ribs and doesn't cost too much. Added bonuses include breakfast starting at midnight and going until late morning. Literally 24/365. One time I ate there at 3:45AM on January 1st. It was packed.
