    Disappointed

We went there with some close friends who had gone there before. I have to say that I was very disappointed. I had never tried Hawaiian food and so this was my first time. This place left a bad taste in my mouth. The service was not good. We had to wave down our waiter for refills. We had a one year old and was charged for a 16 oz. milk (over $2.00) which came in the form of a small styrofoam cup of milk (8 oz). When we asked where the other 8 oz was, the waiter said that if the child had finished his one cup he would have refilled it but as he didn't finish it he figured that we didn't want the rest. Needless to say, we had him give us the other 8 oz we were charged for to go. The food that we had was subpar. We had the Island Style Fried Chicken which was greasy and bland, another person had the Mahi Mahi. The rice was poor. The french fries tasted odd , the steamed vegetables, I won't even say. The bill came to almost $69 for a party of 4 adults and 1 child. Not recommended.

    all around good

I've gone to the Loft many times and sometimes they drop the ball but the place is practically ran by kids under 30. There are cheaper joints in South Torrance to get home-style Hawaiian food but the Loft delivers later hours, good draft choices, and overall good food and service. The portions are big but not obnoxiously so and the prices are represented in the quality of the food.

    Great Hawaiian Food

I disagree with the previous review entirely! Order the Kalua Pork and Teriyaki Chicken, they're fabulous! The potato salad with the pasta in it is so tasty. We are havinf the Loft cater our next event!

    not worth it

My buddy and I went here because we were craving some good hawaiin food. We ordered the Island Fried Chicken (pretty bland) and the Korean BBQ beef (good). The food was ok but the portions really werent that big for $14 bucks. The mac salad was probably the worst I have ever had (no flavor whatsoever) and the rice was undercooked. The service was not all that great, we asked for some hot sauce and I ended up having to go grab it myself. I'm definitely not going to eat here again.
