Not Very Good
As a competitive BBQ'r and bbq lover, I try bbq all over the state. This was below average for me. To start, I ordered a sampler platter with pork ribs, chicken, tri-tip and hotlinks with sides of potato salad and beans. I asked for NO SAUCE as i like to taste the meat and use the sauce (if i like it) as a compliment to the meat. Of course when I get home, my food is drenched. I started with the tri-tip. A dogs rawhide chew toy is probably more tender! It was inedable and discarded. The extremely sweet sauce they use did not allow me to taste anything! I have no clue if they even season their food. Next was the chicken. The chicken was average, but again, had no flavor or taste. At least they attempted to grill the chicken to try and crisp up the skin. B for effort, D for taste. The ribs were large and meaty and properly prepared. Again, I wish they didn't put that overly sweet sauce on my food!! I could not taste or see any seasonings. The rib was tender enough, but another 30 minutes or so would not have hurt it. Thank goodness for pete's hotlinks!!! I was able to get most of the sauce off and enjoy something! The sides were.....hmmmmmm.....not great either. the potato salad appeared to be from Smart & Final and the beans seemed drowned in that syrup-like bbq sauce...grrrrr. Did not do more than taste the sides and discarded with the tri-tip. Overall, not a good food experience and won't be going back. Maybe your luck will be better!
