amazing food. lots of choices. really cool setting to chill.

My BF and I have gone here many times, on our own and with friends. If you are there at a peak hour, expect to wait for a table and wait for your food... but if you go at off hours, you can enjoy the great food, slammin' good atmosphere and superior juke with ease. Despite what the other review says, we not only have always found the service great, but they care about what you are eating, suggesting lemon tea for a friend who was sick and advising them against cheese. I love the vegan and traditional menu selections and the love with which everything is prepared and I love the crazy get-down party atmosphere. I love the dim lighting and the crazy light fixtures and everything about this place. You get the sense it's a real family and that you are being part of it by being there, not just another tip at another table.

Any other diner would have the typical stuff. This place has great jerk chicken and sauteed tofu. The service is casual and the female waitresses flirt a little for a nicer tip. I like it and eat there and do take out often.

I have always heard great things about this place so my father and I gave it a try. Now, to be fair to this place, maybe they have amazing food, but I wouldn't know since we left before it was served because the service was so bad. We waited five minutes before anyone took notice of us to take our order and it took ten minutes for my father to get a cup of coffee. When we asked about the coffee, our waitress was pretty rude with her response. We then proceeded to wait 30 minutes for our food, which still had not arrived, and so we left. I later phoned to manager to express my awful experience and she was very pleasant and did offer to provide a meal on the house stating that there were some weird circumstances contributing to the slowness of the order. Maybe the Swingers on Beverly has better service (we went to the one in Santa Monica), but there were just so many things that went awry with our dining experience that out of principle I don't think we will take that free meal. Again, they might have amazing food and their menu seemed impressive, but the service was so bad I guess I will never know.

This is a great diner. Its crowded a lot which makes service slow, but the food is great and not too badly priced. you can bring dogs if you sit outside. But "outside" is a patio off of Beverly. Lots of cars whizzing by. Try the breakfast pasta, super yummy...
