The food is still good here, but service has really gone downhill and the host was the rudest I have ever encountered.

Today was a disappointment. We had a party of 5, but my brother in-law was pulling into the parking lot and we 4 of us sat first. They notice we were missing one of 5 and said, we can't sit you. We were already sat down and he gave us a minute. I went outside to get him and by the time I get back, the host asked my folks and sister get up and wait. He gave our tables to another party of 3. I was so upset. He said it's not fair to sit us when all party was not here and it was only 2 minutes. He made us get off the table and made us wait another 15-20 minutes for another table. The food was always premium, I come here enough times, given very generous gratuity every single time. We were embarrassed and people saw us sat down and get up after 2-3 minutes sitting down. This is the poorest service from a restaurant host ever. Despite the disrespectful host, I still gave my fair gratuity today because the rest of the service is fine and I don't like making others suffer because of one person.

The food quality and overall food is fantastic! They have a great variety of of sushi and best of all everything is fresh. However they have the worse service I have EVER experienced. I have never been treated that way in a restaurant . After seating us down the manager threw a fit because our whole party wasn't present when they seated us down. It would be understandable if only one person was seated and was waiting for 5 more people in a booth for 6. But there were 5 people waiting for one person in a booth for 6.He was very close to throwing us out because of this little dilemma that turned out to be huge for the restaurant. Though the food was good I will never go back because of the poor service they have. If you decided to go here PLEASE PLEASE have everyone in your party present at the time you made your reservation . Or else they will be extremely upset and won't seat you and you might potentially lose your table.

Hands down, the best Japanese food restaurant in LA. Everything is amazing!

In a strip mall in Little Tokyo sits this unassuming restaurant that has the finest sushi in L.A. You will know when you get there because there will be a line of people out the door and down the sidewalk. Asian tour buses stop here as a place for their customers to eat so sometimes its a matter of luck as to how busy they are. For lunch, get there before 11:30 and for dinner, mid afternoon is best. I always sit at the sushi bar because the line is shorter and sometimes, no line at all.

Hands down one of the best sushi places coast to coast - very humble surroundings but great food. Whoever heard of a lineup starting at 10:45am for an 11:15am opening? Excellent sashimi lunch special even though they raised the price this year.
