    Best Place in Town

My Husband is crazy about Steve's and after our cruize we and some friends headed to Steve's on Friday, Oct 26, 2012. They has a live video shoot for Shanice new recording CD. We got there around 7:00 pm not knowing the all star entertainment was happening. We saw many celebrities, sports starts and famous models, TV personalities, boy what a unexpected treat! The food was so good we needed 2 doggie bags because they brought it on platters! Can I say we had almost everything on the menu Cat fish, Turkey wings, greens, sweet potatoes, corn bread, gumbo, dirty rice and fries between the 4 of us. The service was good considering we did not have reservations. They brought us drinks by the buckets and soda's by the barrell. Our friends really had a wonderful time. Even when the bill came the husbands were fighting over paying the $225.00 tab, each saying "I got it" :) We are coming back again July 26th. 2013 with more friends for the good food and entertainment. Why do you care how much it costs? That is the price of fine dining and entertainment combined. Steve's is just the right setting for both.

    Great food and music

My husband and I went on a Friday night a few weeks ago. We ordered the calamari, catfish and gumbo. Everything was soooo good! The music was really entertaining and our waitress was super friendly and on top of her service. I was not sure of what to expect after all of the terrible reviews but we loved the place and want to go back!

    No consistency.

Any good restaurant knows consistency is very important and unfortunately there is none at Stevies. One night the seafood pasta is great! Another night, the seafood pasta is blane and the fettuccine pasta that is comes with is overcooked and gummy. It's missing the wine and other ingredients because depending on the cook depends on what you get and that's very, very poor service and it cost way too much money $28 without the tax to get this type of service.

Service and Price Not Worth It

This visit to Stevie's was just one of many after this visit I will not be returning. The Service was not good and the food was not all that great as it had been in the past. The restaurant needs a makeover. The table my party had to eat on was wobbly and one of the waiters had to attempt at leveling it out with some cardboard pieces. I have been a mystery shopper for years as well and this restaurant would have never passed. The Mac & Cheese was cold and the food wasn't good at all. The best thing going was the Live band that performed that night.

First time great, 2nd time poor

Have been to Stevie's twice. The first time there service was not great, not even okay but once the food arrived it was incredible. Decided to take my son for his graduation dinner as he loved the food the first time around. The restaurant was empty but yet it took over 20 minutes to be seated and over an hour 1/2 to get our food. Once the food arrived it was cold and nothing like what we had experienced the first time. I'm torn about giving them another try for fear of having to wait for seating and food being cold.

    I will not be back

The food was good, however the service was poor. We had to seat ourselves, then when we found a seat we were moved to the back of the restaurant. It took 30 minutes to get a menu and another 30 to see out waitress. Our waitress then had the nerve to have an attitude the entire time. My meal was suppose to come with grits and the waitress only took a dollar off for forgetting the grits. Then come time to pay she took another 30 minutes to pick up the bill. The other issues are they are trying to accommodate too many people. If I make a reservation for a table I should not be pushed in a corner surrounded by people that do not have anywhere to sit. I could not enjoy the performers because there were people standing in front of me and constantly bumping my chair. Never again will I go back to Stevies.

    Unpleasant experience

I made reservations weeks before the Valentine's Day weekend to hear a close friend perform on February 12th. Reservations were made for six people at nine o'clock. When we all arrived at 9pm there were NO tables available not even a table that was reserved for me & my guest! We ALL sat seperately and I was the last to be seated 1 hour later! It was strongly suggested we make reservations ahead of time, however, that seem to do no good. I live more than a hour away which isn't a problem thinking the service will be well worth the drive. However, that wasn't the case. I will not be returning, EVER again!
