Saag-tastic!
As a recently relocated New Yorker, I'm more than a little (read: entirely) dependent on delivery -- and have been more than a little (read: thouroughly) disappointed by the comparative lack of options when it comes to ordering in out here. That said, Star of India is the best I've found so far. The gobi saag (not on the menu) is f'ing amazing, as is the garlicky daal tarka and the mushroom bhaji (I could check to make sure I'm spelling that right, but I won't). Plus, they don't charge extra for rice like some of the other places I've tried. (Wait, what???) Just make sure to request extra tamarind & mint chutney, as they sometimes forget to throw it in the bag. Better than 6th street and maybe (sacrilege!) even Jackson Diner. Now if I could just find someone to bring me good shrimp summer rolls...
