Maybe I was there on a good day, but I thought our cupcakes were SO good. I too am a big cupcake fan, but this place dethroned Crumbs for me--at least in the red velvet department. We also tried the peanut butter, vanilla milk chocolate, and pumpkin. I will agree that they are overpriced, but we are in the heart of Beverly Hills here.

I love cupcakes. I found the ones at Sprinkles dry tasteless and very, very expensive. Who do they think they are charging sooo much in this economy for something so subpar!

a lover of all things cupcakes, i just had to make my way to sprinkles on my last trip to LA this past weekend. after waiting in line for about twenty min (not bad, especially since right after we got in line it nearly doubled), we finally got past the 120 pound "bouncer" who looked like she had never eaten a cupcake herself. anyway, sensory wise the place was perfect, smelled amazing (how could it not...) and visually appealing. my sister and i picked out three cupcakes to share (a lemon, red velvet and our bouncer's "favorite" the peanut butter). i hate to say this, but they just weren't that good. the cake in all three of them was over cooked and crunchy on the ends, and after eating only a half of one i felt like there was a rock in my stomach because the batter was so heavy. in the end, i am sticking to my NYC venues for cupcake cravings. sorry sprinkles, Bridget from girls next door lied, you aren't the best cupcakes in the world.
