    Amazing

This was the best dinner I have ever had. We recently moved from NY and were told we had to visit Sona. We had the 9 course tasting menu and were blown away by every aspect of our evening. We have been back 2x since, our original dinner. We love that every time we go the menu has completely changed, it's always a suprise. Everyone must try this perfect LA spot!!

Go to say you've been, but eat first

Very nice "special occasion" spot. Very nice waitstaff..... reasonable wine prices and good selection by the glass. Another "full of themself" chef who thinks it is fine to charge $38 for an entree with 3 ounces of duck or fish and 2 ounces of veggies....nice presentation my ass....Sure the English, curry, mint pea soup with mushrooms tasted great and it better have for $18.....My Mexican grouper, a cube about 2" x 2" x 2" tasted great until I got to the center that was uncooked..... My rule is that at a fine dining spot like this, the chef gets one chance on an entree for $38.... were it not for our anniversary, I would have asked for the check, canceled the balance of the meal and eaten elsewhere...which is what everyone should do. Our waiter was very good....and I will say that I am not some fat fool from Nebraska who is in LA on Vacay....I am sick of these high price and small portion trendy joints. Nice move of the night was when the waiter told me that he added the valet charge to the bill, but forgot to stamp the ticket, so when my car came, I had to go back into the restaurant to straighten it out, which was very embarrassing. And in the "you gotta be kidding" department, the coup de gras is when one of the servers brings you some complimentary desserts, including the smallest piece of cheesecake known to man and two chocolate truffles abou the size of M & M peanuts...... Come on, I just spent over $200 on your dog and pony show and I am supposed to feel moved by this?
