Nice place, needs work
Every dish is just a pile of meat with similar tasting sauce. For example, the Kung Pao Chicken seems like they cooked the chicken and then threw in the peppers afterwards...so it's bland. Maybe put more vegetables in the dishes instead of meat and then cut 10-20% off the prices.

yucch!
probably the most substandard Chinese food I've ever had. couldn't finish the hot and sour soup. the sesame beef was worse. unbelievably poor. even the duck sauce the waiter brought out with the noodles was unappetizing. i should have known.

not worth it
Food wasn't so great, pupu platter sucked. a block away chick n chow was much better. At shanghai, didnt understand the waiters, long wait for food. over all, out of ten I give it a 3

Best Kosher Chinese in LA
Excellent Chinese food by any standard, and certainly the best kosher Chinese in LA. Decor is clean and warm, and service is efficent, but not perfect. Chicken lettuce cups are a good start, and the cashew chicken is great. The Chinese foods outranks the sushi, but the rolls aren't bad either. Not exactly romantic (for that try Shilos) but a fun family place.

great kosher food!
as good as any non-kosher chinese food. Wonderful staff. Design of place could be a little better, but food makes up for it.
