I am not surprised by the about bad reviews of service; I love the place and have been going there for almost 19yrs. Over the years there were a waiter or two that was moody, but the best thing to do would be let the management know. Tips are now added in most restaurants for over three or four person,if you occupy a seat and are served as a customer why shouldn't they charge you even if you are sharing the food.The portion is large so you can take it to go; and if you can't afford to buy another entree then take the food to go, and let them serve paid customers. And for the B'day boy; it is not chucky cheese for kids to drink and watch a show, the show is mostly for adults. I found most of the waiters and management personals to be sweet and warm; with great food and entertainment.

I have eaten here in the past and their food and service was wonderful when I went. obviously, since it is a restaurant and not a bar they are going to expect you to not take up their table space just to order nothing but drinks on show night. I did think that their show night was on the cheezy side though.

I've had lunch @ Seaside Palace several times and the food and service was good. So I decided to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday evening. What a mistake! The waiter somehow forgot to mention before we sat down that it's mandatory to order an entree on show nights. I had guests that arrived late b/c of work/children that assumed they'd be able to just drink and enjoy the show. The waiter was extremely rude regarding their absurd policy and my guests were forced to order. The waiter wasn't satisfied yet so he informs my guests that they will be taxed on water. Unbelievable! Besides the bad customer service, the food is worth its price and the show was great. I'd suggest ordering for take out =(

Disappointing to see the slams on this place. I've been there a handful of times and in each instance the food was good. Try the Barg or the crispy rice (though don't remember the name of this dish...it really doesn't matter...it was amazingly good). I've been to a few Middle Eastern places, some of them relationally a bit more expensive, but for less cost/better food, this place is actually worth goin' to. If you want a GREAT value though, try Grill Hut in Laguna Niguel. Their steaks are amazing, a huge portion of rice and the grilled tomatoes top it off. Best value and some of the best tasting Persian food around, regardless of price!

I have no idea why the bad reviews....I eat there every Saturday and experience WONDERFUL service. The food is fantastic and the portions are large. To the poster who remarked about the tip being added: Were you in a party of six or more?...if so, it's normal for the tip to be added to the bill. Try the shrimp kabab, filet mignon barg and the seafood plate....FANTASTIC.

the food was okay. it was not the best Persian food ever, but the service was so bad they charge just to split a plate, and the servers were very rude and already charge you for the tip that they think they deserve. i would not eat at this restaurant again.
