I just ate here with a friend of mine the other night on one of the first nights they opened. I LOVE IT. Couldn't stop saying "are you kidding me" ...the menu was THAT good. We had such a hard time ordering because there were too many things we wanted to try...meatballs filled with mozzarella, Baked pecorino with fava beans, I know the place is a pizzeria but it's impossible not to develop a crush on one of the pasta dishes beconning from the right side of the menu... We watched as the italian chef pulled our perfectly hot margherita pizza out of his cozy wood-burning-fire-oven. The crust was crispy AND chewy and the sauce was magical...and iI know good mozzarella they've got it. Afterward we made room for a mini meatball lasagna (the owner told us it was the chef's mom's recipe in south italy). I was hesitant because I expected lasagna to be heavy...but took the recommendation... To my surprise it actually just melted in our mouths and floated us right over to the dessert menu where who can choose between nutella-filled ravioli with banana and vanilla creme, "are you kiddin me!!! :)" and now we have to go back because we ran out of space before trying the dessert pizza w caramel, apple, and raisins... Oh...and did I mention they have good wine on TAP! Served over the most beautiful white-marble bar...by very charming, and very tall bartender boys. I love a place like this where you might think on robertson could be unapproachable or pretentious...but the owner actually came to sit with us a minute at our table for a chat... while the thick-accented italian chefs are making your italian food the right way...It felt like italy and my mom's kitchen wood-fired into one...if it's not already obvious. Yep...this place has turned me as gooey cheesey as the meatballs..
