We have been coming here for quite a long time, have never paid more than $3 for parking with a validation. Food is excellent, huge portions. Their clam chowder is to die for. I love their parmesan crusted halibut, and the combination sampler is awesome. Their salad bar is like nothing you've ever tried, it's fantastic, so many yummy items on there to enjoy. Place can be a little noisey, but no worse than many restaurants. It's such a delightful place to eat, and view the ocean. It's great to sit on the beach chairs after, and just watch the waves come in, and view the seagulls and pelicans. It's my happy spot.

Well the view and opportunity to have lunch on the water were the great draw for this restaurant, however, the actual dinning was just mediocre. We ordered the $10 guacamole which arrived slightly frozen, we chocked this up to maybe the presumption that on a warm day it needed to be extra cool to keep (it was only 65 that day). Our actual meal was decent and the portions were good. Our order of keylime pie for desert arrived in the same condition as the guacamole FROZEN. We ate around the frozenness (frozen keylime pie is sooo bitter, the sweetness comes out at room temp) and were ultimately disappointed by the experience. The saving grace of the day was the view and walking around the cove.

If you want to be right on the water in Malibu this is virtually one of two or three places in town. This is far better because you can actually go out on the sand and lie out and they will bring you a beach menu. You pay $5 for parking. If you stay longer than 2 hours. You pay $25. Very cool authentic place. One of the original hang outs in Malibu with an authentic feel. You go here for the atmosphere, no question about it. The $12 burgers? Hmm. A bit pricy for a non gourmet sit down. The $15 Cobb Salad? Well I guess this place figured out its one of the icons in town. The service is pretty good. The food, not baddish. The value? Are you kidding? For what it is. Not that great. Burger, cola, tip, parking $25. You do the math. At Inn & Out its $5. Come here for the atmosphere. Be aware of weekends. You could be waiting 1+hour just for a table. Best seats in the house of course are weekday, early. Nice cove though. I'm glad we have it. If I ever want a $25 simple lunch. I'll go here.
