Papa Guido's Pizza
Posted by James on 01/04/2013
I live about 4 blocks from the store and waited 45 minutes for pasta. Poor service, stupid wait time for pasta. Go to Ameci's.

when i get my order its always short of one or the other, ranch, hot sauce, .. when these items come with the order.. i have also had the Papa Guido's potato's old and re-cooked as well as burnt chicken..this is how they treat good customers. i used to order once a week , no more slacker service with just ok food.

My gf and i tried their chicken pastas, cheese sticks, which also came with cheese bread and garlic bread, very delicious. They said 30 min delivery, it came 15 min later lol.

Sometimes, the mark of a good pizza place is that the workers are the same and the food stays consistently good. This is the story of Papa Guido's. Times were good, food was good. Times were bad, food was good. Affordable beer (pitchers are worth it -- Sam, Fat Tire, Hefe), delicious Papa's Potatoes (think mojo but better, and nuclear hot fried chicken. The pizza is balanced and some of the pastas are surprisingly delicious such as the Carbonara, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. After so many years, and in agreement with the other reviewer, this place deserves more praise. Yes, at the busy hours this place is overwhelmed, but they seriously don't cook it till you order it and that's why it tastes so damn good. Parking is difficult, seating is crowded, but you'll see regulars and for good reason.

I can't believe this place hasn't had better reviews. The food is great, cuties at the front are quick and oh yeah, the food is killa. Papa's cheesybread is good with everything and so is the alphredo pizza and chicken phillysteak. The inside is a bit cheesed out but who cares really about that.

I ordered a pizza for pick up from the aviation location. Then drove to pick up my pie due to being less than 1/16 mi. outside the delivery zone. Just trying to pay for my pie was a chore. The young girl at the registar needed to finish her story about a boy before attending to me 5 min. later. Arriving home with my cold pie i opened the box to reveal a burnt middle due to there being zero cheese in the center 6" of the pie. Calling the location and after hearing my problem i was placed on hold several times for a period of 20 min. then told i woiuld not be able to have another pie made at that time but i could have my account credited for a free pie to pick up at my convenience. Now while that was very nice `i explained i wass hungry now and would just like the pie replaced. I was finally placed with a supervisor that fulfilled my wishes while being very frustrated and calling me "look dude" as he explained he was very busy and didnt know if he or his drivers had the time to "deal with this". Having worked in the restaurant industry for over ten years and stepping out as General Manager of a very well respected company i would hope a corporation even through franchising would have some sort of customer service handbook or guide if not for thier employees for thier management. I believe the first step to solving these types of mishaps is not in the cooking which can be refired but in the way the customer is treated which unfortunatly you may only have one chance at! I also had trouble finding a home page with a mission statement. If i cant find it do your employees have access? It was apparent today. I was told it would take quite a while to deliver my pie which i still have yet to receive.
