Referred by a friend and my first time at the restaurant. I ordered the Lengua with green sauce. To my disappointment it had an old taste to the meat. And my Flan was under cooked. I usually finished my Flan because its my favorite. But not this one. Ordonez, Montebello, Ca.

Contrary to another listed review, the customer service is wonderful. The employees are friendly and efficient. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences dining at Ordonez since the 1980s. The menu is incredible, causing me to ponder for minutes as to what to order. Can't go wrong with any choice, although I am partial to Juevos Rancheros.

Are you hungry after a night out and are craving some authentic mexican food? Head over to Ordoñez in Montebello. They have pozole on weekends and your usual mexican food plus they are open 24 hrs. Love it

I have tried Ordonez on late night snack splurges with large groups, as well as cozy dinners for two and either way, it's the perfect place to dine/drink! The chips & salsa start is great, the margaritas AND mecheladas are hands down THE BEST in town! The menu is great, has a variety including a few seafood dishes and soup and other plates (I prefer the chile rellenos plate, which most plates come with a large serving of beans and rice) and the drinks aren't as pricey as some overrated restaurants people overspend at. It's local, and usually very upbeat, so if you want peaceful/quiet, try another restaurant! I like sitting near the juke box to keep the atmosphere jamming and some nights you get to hear the mariachis. I HAVE, however, been overcharged once, so pay close attention to your bill/check just in case this happens to you. All in all, a great place where most of the locals frequent!

There are a few places I really enjoyed Mexican food. The first choice closed its resturant in the Area and it is now a drive to get to. So, I defaulted to Ordonez because it is close. Their food is good and tasety. I would rather eat here then at Taco Bell or El Pollo Loco. Ordonez beats them hands down. Their service seems to be slow at times, meaning you may ask for water and it will be room temperature by the time you get it. I love the chips and salsa it is one of the better formulas. If only El Tepeyac remained open I think their resturant was to small for popularity maybe this is why they closed it who knows. Or was it to close to Ordonez? I think the service at Ordonez could improve on personality and service. I love to tip and they make it difficult for me to feel real good about giving them more then the standard 15% AND EVEN THIS IS TO HIGH SOMEDAYS.
