    I enjoyed it!

I kept hearing of this place that had had good food and a cool live band. I took a friend visiting from Alabama and it was nice, we had a good time. It isn't the best southern food on the west coast but I would recommend this place to anyone. The atmosphere was very cool and the band was okay. I'm making plans to try the Sunday brunch that I also keep hearing about.

    Rip Off

I went with some friends on a Friday night. The buffet was $25. I decided that that was about the price that I would pay for a decent dinner. I was robbed. This place has the worst "louisiana-style" food EVER! I am a native New Orleanian. I was full grown when I moved to LA. I know my hometown cuisine and this wasn't it. The food didn't have any flavor. The gumbo tasted like it came from a box mix. I tried everything at the buffet to get my money's worth. I enjoyed the salad and the mixed veggies, but that wasn't worth $25! I never had such tasteless food. It shocked me. The service was slow. It took almost 20 minutes to get a drink. The atmosphere was the only positive about the whole outing. Honestly, I am NEVER going back. I was so disappointed.

    Worst dining experience

Our reservations where nowhere to be found. Incompetent manager or whatever he is kept rifling through a handwritten reservation book. The place was empty. Who cares if they lost our reservation. Clearly there are tables available. We wanted to sit near the stage, but as soon as we sat there they said we had to order the buffet that was $25.00. No thanks. Since we did not want the buffet (esp because we've know the food is always cold) our bungling manager said we had to leave or move. We stayed and ordered drinks and appetizers which are overpriced. As soon as we received the bill we noticed that we were charged a little more for almost every item. We asked why the prices were different from the menu we were given. Manager came back with a sheet of paper and said the new menu has not been printed. I told them to go to Kinkos or buy a $75 printer. I told the guy masquerading as a manager that it's illegal to charge more than advertised prices. He didn't even shrug.

    Never Again

I went here once before with my family & it was a nice atmosphere, but subpar food. Well today we went again to celebrate Mother's Day. Con-effing-gratulations for ruining our Mother's Day dinner NOLA's! No one's food came on time we waited for over an hour & a half! The food was bland & poorly prepared. The waiter did a poor job at taking orders; we had to tell him we wanted to order drinks. We had appetizers that we cancelled because we could tell after 2hrs it wasn't on the way, not to mention our mixed up orders came first. The best thing I had was a Midori Sour from the bar. When we finally decided to complain to the waiter he took no responsibility for his screw ups & blamed us. The manager came out & before even asking us what the problem was he offered us "discounted drinks". We spent 3hrs here, we drove from over an hr away, everyone didn't even eat. Needless to say NEVER again!
