We've been going there for years, and now my kids are old enough to appreciate it too (they're pre teens now)! We recently took one of their friends, and let her figure out the connection with Steven Spielberg. She was charmed when Mrs. Adler sat at their table to "chat with the girls!" One of the best visits I had was in 2001 after A.I was released. We had a nice chat about that one! And there are always specials that aren't on the menu. One of the best dishes not listed but always available is a pasta with ground pistachio and garlic topping. YUM!

I went there once for a date and the girl did not show up. Mrs. Leah saw me a little bit embarassed. She came to my table and said: " She does not deserve you!!". I will always remember that. Once I told her: "You cook better then Steven direct films". She said: "What´s wrong with my son´s films????" I am back to Brazil now, hope to visit MW in my next trip to LA. Leah was a most gracious and witty hostess. One could not ask for a nicer person when we visited you with our cousin Renee. G-d bless and a very happy Shana Tova to you and all your family

We had the most delicious veggie stuffed cabbage and potato latkes. Yum!

This restaurant was incredible. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is good, and the food is even better (I recommend the cheese blitzes). You will most likely be greeted by Leah Adler, Steven Spielberg's mom, and she is an amazing hostess who loves to get to know her customers. My favorite experience here was chatting with Mrs. Adler about her favorite foods and how often she drinks wine. This is a must-try restaurant if you are ever in the Beverly area.

We have eaten at the Milky Way twice-it is one of my favorite places. Mrs. Adler is a wonderful hostess. She visits her patrons and makes suggestions about the terrific food. The first time we went, we made reservations ahead because we wanted to be sure she was there. I had also sent her a letter and a special picture ahead of time. When we arrived, she greeted us like long lost friends and spent a good deal of time chatting about all of her children. We had a great meal and a great time!

My wife and I visited the Milky Way after a suggestion from a friend. It's hard finding a quality kosher vegetarian-friendly restaurant anywhere, but the Milky Way is that and more. For those visiting Los Angeles, they should definitely go to the Milky Way for one very important reason; It's owned and operated by Mrs. Lea Adler, mother of Steven Spielberg. When she is there, she comes around and kibbitzes with everyone, perhaps with wine in hand. When we were done, she took us on tour of 'the Hallway', which I won't ruin...you'll just have to go. Quite honestly, our visit to the Milky Way made our trip to LA fantastic.
