Small bites and lots to like!

I like to graze, so MB Post is my favorite place to do so. Small plates you can share and then you can sample a lot of variety. They have new items, seasonal all the time so never, ever boring! Julia would have loved this place. Bon Appetit!

    Wow

My husband and I were in Manhattan Beach visiting a friend. Our visit was cut short when he had a sudden emergency (business), so we decided to leave without any of us being able to have time to eat dinner. We decided to grab something to eat before going home, so we asked him to recomend a place. He recomended The Post. When we got there, to our surprise, we were asked if we had a reservation. Obviously we didn't considering we were supposed to be having dinner with our friend, so we weren't expecting to eat dinner there. The hostess graciously overlooked the oversight on our part, and proceeded to seat us. After being seated a at a beautiful utility table and while awaiting our server, we had a chance to look around. What a great place! It has a rustic but slightly elegant feel (not too elegant). Our server arrived and was very friendly. He recomended the Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits, now I'm not a huge biscuit fan but we ordered them anyways just to be polite, I am sooo glad we did, WOW. I LOVED these. They were so moist and delightful. We also ordered the Asparagus with Jidori Hen Egg, Alaskan Halibut, and the BBQ Lamb Belly. All were sooo woderful and scrumptious. Being seated right next to a stranger might seem a little "strange" to some, and under normal circumstances we might have been uncomfortable, but to our delight we were enjoying our food so much so that we barely even noticed them, at least until they asked us what we had and what we would recomend. They were very nice friendly people and we really enjoyed sharing the table with them, the service was great and our server was very helpful and dead on with his recomendations. The atmosphere is classy but comfortable, and the people there although they are a little more well off financially than most, were very friendly and welcoming. I would definately recomend eating here. We were welcomed with open arms and as a result had such a wonderful time here. We will definately be eating here more often. Thank you The Post for such a wonderful experience. WOW!!
