I know there are fancier places around with more perfect ambient lighting etc. But I like Mae Ploy for the flavors and sense of home-cookin'. Also, Syd one of the waiters goes out of his way to make you feel welcomed. I think the water gets served a little too regularly -- like 12+ times in one meal -- but at least you never get dehydrated? A fun place to go and catch-up with a friend.

I only have ordered take out. The food is fantastic and I love the spicy flavors. I was so impressed. I love, love, love the food.

Mae ploy is consistently delicious, reasonably priced, and had an excellent staff. We've been going there for years and will continue to go there for many more.

I am not Thai. I am from Kansas and I have lived in Los Angeles for about 7 years. However, make no mistake, I know good Thai food and, of all the Thai restaurants I've tried, Mae Ploy Restaurant is the best. I eat there at least once per week and sometimes more. It has a very homey feel and the wait staff, especially B, is terrific.

I have been going here for years and more often than that ordering delivery from here. Having spent some time in Thailand, I return here for their authentic flavors and varied menu also you cannot get better value than this. Always extremely reliable and friendly. Highly recommended for dining in and take out ad delivery. Enjoy!

this little neighborhood place has quite dependably good thai food. the dishes are all prepared well, and it all tastes exactly as it should. curries are very nice, and the noodle dishes hearty and comforting. they are also very good at keeping things mild, if requested, without being short on flavor. generally not too long of a wait for delivery, and very nice delivery folks. i've counted on them for years for my thai fix.

Mae Ploy is a great, authentic neighborhood Thai restaurant. If you're expecting Trader Joe's flavor and textures, go to TJ's, but if you want real, delicious Thai food, there isn't any better in Silverlake than Mae Ploy.
