Cute, laid back late night
Went to Lola's on late on a Sunday night. Restaurant was quiet, but not empty. Very casual, 30something crowd. They have three separate rooms (one dining, two bars) and the bar areas are first-come first-serve (seated by a server in the dining area) Open spaces, pool table, laid back atmosphere. Menu is small, slightly limited. Salads (caprese and cesaer) were acceptable. But you don't go for the food for the look of the place ... you go for the +50 Martinis on their menu. Everything from the classic Dirty to the super-sweet Caramel Apple to the daring Garlic Mashed Potato. Tried the Cantalope and the Strawberry Fields (both sweet, light), while friend had the Pear (surprising okay) and Dirty (very strong). Waitress was bubbly and happy to help us choose. Be warned, though, drink prices are not on the menu. They ranged from $8-12 ... decent when you factor in the novelty of it all. Overall, good hang out and date place. Valet and street parking available.
