This is the most overpriced and overrated restaurant I've been to in 25 years of living in Los Angeles. The total meal for 2 with a half a bottle of wine was $150. The Chicken Parmesan cost $32 and was absolutely bland and tasteless. You're better off going to Ralphs and getting the same meal from Stauffer's for $3.20. . .1/10 the price. Stay far away from this restaurant. Maybe it's always crowded because older people might lose their sense of taste.

My best all time restaurant...When you've had the Botarga Pasta and the Burrata Mozzarella...you never want to have them anywhere else again...I am now living abroad, Locanda is the first restaurant I crave upon my return...My son also loves it..

We dined at the restaurant with another couple on Saturday night. We were given a drafty table near the door in this claustrophobic space. Rudely had menus thrust on us and a brusque recitation of specials (no prices given--had to ask twice). Three entrees arrived with no explanation as to where the fourth was. After 20 minutes (it had apparently fallen on the floor) it appeared when we were all done eating. Had to repeatedly ask for waters to be refilled--empty bread basket never replenished. Waiter surly--poured extra wine for awaiting diner--big deal! Although we were not charged for the late entree (had to suggest this to waiter) it was an unpleasant dining experience. It's a crowded noisy place with astronomical prices and a surly staff. Had looked forward to going, but will only have bad comments from here on in. For a neighborhood place--much to much attitude and poor service!!
