Playa's Best Kept Secret
When my friend first took me to Kaya, all I could think is, "I'm suppose to get good sushi at a strip mall?" The answer: YES! The guys at the sushi bar are friendly, granted this seems pretty standard at many sushi places but their food is phenomenal as well. I highly recommend Jay's roll which is mainly salmon and asparugus wrapped in soy paper. I've tried to order it at other places and it just isn't the same. This place is delicious and if it were closer I'd eat there every night. Unfortunately I'm 20 miles away so once a month will have to do.

a hidden gem!
when i first moved to LA i kept hearing about this great dive sushi place kaya sushi. i have to tell you it is my favorite sushi place so far and i have been here now for over a year and a half. the ambiance is great with the water wall they have in the front of the room. the waiters are really friendly, and the food is super cheap. you can't go wrong with this hidden gem in the marina!

Crappy location, sweet sushi bar
I was just driving around looking for some take-out sushi when I cam across Kaya, boring on the outside, sweet and small on the inside. I ended up staying to enjoy the susih bar and loved the experience, except for the service...eek. The sushi chefs were great but I never could get a damn glass of water....hmm.
