Used to be better
My family and I have been enjoying Juanito's for over forty years. The tamales were excellent. My favorite were the cheese. But all is not well in the land of tamales. December 2010 I purchased my usual 6 dozen christmas tamales. My family and friends were disappointed. The tamales had mostly masa and hardly any filling. The taste was off as well. We just figured because of the Christmas rush they hired new workers and forgot quality control. Since then, I've gone back three times and got the same disappointing tamales. On at least four other occasions family members have bought tamales and all have commented on the lack of filling, and the different taste. Juanito's tamales are very large and so by cutting back on the fillings you get a brick of masa. I have now turned to a street vendor who has a tasty product, but I miss my cheese tamales. I'll sample Juanito's in November to decide if their tamales have been restored to their deliciousness, or if a new vendor gets my family business.

Gone my whole life...I miss it!
Oh my gosh my whole family has been going there my whole life and longer. They did live not too far from it so it was easy. But they are the best tamales ever. they are big and yummy. My favs are the green chili with cheese & the Chicken with red sauce. The rice is good too if you order a plate. I so wish they would ship I live in vegas now and really miss them.

Nothing compares
My family and I have been getting tamales from Juanito's for as long as I can remember. The quality of the tamales is superb. They are big, full of meat, the chile is not too spicy and the overall quality is great. I rate the atmosphere 5 because it's a take out place and I can't dock points because of that. Service is great and for the price it's a steal.

Best Tamales Ever!
I've been ordering tamales from Juanito's for 11 years and they are the best I ever had. A friend who I work with brought them in one day to work and I was hooked. They're meaty and big (like me). :) Others I've tried have been wimpy, dry and hardly any meat and they're on the small side. There are some good ones out there but these They're just like my grandmother used to make. For we are Mexicano.

ELA's best tamales!
Juanito's is an ELA classic. The tamales are flavorful and twice the size of other places. They use quality ingredients and offer the "classic" red chile pork tamal, as well as beef and chicken. The masa is covered with and flavored with their red chile sauce so these tamales are moist and not like the dry tamales sold at other places. There is a counter for placing your order as this is strickly "to go". You can get individual combo plates with tasty beans and rice. You'll never eat anyone else's tamales after trying these.
