    Amazing Food & Service

WOW! I had the NY strip steak & he had the pork chop stuffed with mozzerella & pancetta. We both had the sauteed spinach & roasted potatoes. BEST meal I had all year! Service was impeccable. Hostess, server (very sweet, on top of it, knowledgeable about wine & beer), manager checked on us twice! I will definitely be back. Reasonably priced. Only concern was its a small space, kinda noisy (at peak dinner time anyway). You're eating pretty close to other people. 3 small tables put together for 3 different parties. They almost seated a couple next to us. Thankfully they decided to sit at the bar b/c the would have been between is and another party! ... Other than that- GREAT!

    NYC of the west Coast

I'm not one to mince words, as an x New Yorker who has eaten in the best Italian resturants there, I was amazed by the food and service here. I used to go to Dan Tanas and paid the price, this place not only beats that place but is so tasty. I had the saltimbacca on a special that night. Wow. The teramiso was Wow as well. Go, Nothing compares to iL Capricco in LA.

    Try the scallop pasta special

We tried Il Capriccio last night before a concert at the Greek because it's only five minutes away. We were informed they were having a problem with their liquor license (apparently, they were late on their renewal), however, we were told we could bring in our own wine or buy some at a bar a few doors down (which we did and got a 25% discount!) There was no corkage fee either. We had calimari and a ceasar salad; however, the highlight was the homemade pasta and scallop special that was nothing short of fantastic. The pasta was the lightest and most tender we have every had and the scallops as tender as they come. This restaurant is a great value and the service anticipatory. The owner could be a bit more personable but hey, he might have just been having a bad moment. Highly recommended for value.
