Save your time and money
My husband and I visited this located about 2 months ago. It was beyond awful! We were ignored by the "host" for over 20 minutes. Thankfully the nice girl at the bar brought us drinks while we were waiting. Once we were finally seated after nearly 40 minutes, we could not even hear our waiter because the place was so incredibly loud. Our waiter was so nice, helpful and apologetic...I hope he finds a better restaurant to work in. There were mistakes and problems beyond his control and he said they were understaffed. In all fairness, I ordered their special soup and it was great, I should have stuck with that! My husband ordered the filet, and what small portion there was of it was good, but it took forever to be served from the kitchen. We both had to order a bowl of rice at the end of our meals because we were still hungry. We joked that we would have to stop on the way home to eat somewhere else. Save your time (took 2 hours until we got out!) and money and go somewhere else.

Other options
Echoing the other reviewers, you definitely get less than what you pay for. The portions are tiny and you also have to pay for things like rice (now this is unheard of in an Asian restaurant.) The food is tasty, though, and the wait staff are friendly. However, for a more fun, laid back and lively atmosphere, go to the Gyu-kaku on the westside. For good, real korean bbq that gives you bang for your buck (and free rice), head to koreatown.

not worth that much
For what you pay, you may leave disappointed or you may feel like you ordered plenty but leave hungry. The ambience is cool and the servers are usually very nice. However, the price you pay for the food may not be totally worth it.

Unique yet overpriced
The food here is very good, however the portions are about 3-5 ounces uncooked. Furthermore, for a serving of kobe beef, the price is about $16 a la carte. Any additional order to acompany the order (rice, veggies, noodles, etc.) Are extra. It was suggested to us that we each order 4-5 entrees per person to be satisfied! Excuse me?! The service was great, however the atmosphere was a little loud and "lunch hour" type for my taste. Over all, great food, but I don't plan on going here again for a while. There are much better Japanese Restaurants that although may be pricy, offer generous portions.
