Dont Argue with the Owner
My fiancee and I USED to eat here until we got tired of the surly waitresses. Do yourself a BIG favor, and spend your hard earned money at a restaurant that truly appreciates their customers. The Petrelli's seem to forget they're not the only steak house in the city. Besides the bad manners of the owners...the string beans taste like aluminum and the steaks are chewy at best. They do not aim to please their customers...unless you eat and never, ever complain.

Nice place with a long history
Best ground sirloin, and the large porterhouse is quite nice. Ask what veggies are available you can usually get other than that day's specific veg. Very nice grilled onions. As to the drinks, the fellow who mans the bar during lunch makes the best margaritas.

Meh.
George Petrelli's has been in business since the 1930s. It's clean and the atmosphere is nice. There is a nice lounge area also. The food is just so-so. Definitely not deserving of $30 per plate. But they include both soup and salad (no choice on the soup, you will get the beef noodle and you will like it) also, veggies (canned green beans with bacon onions and almonds) and a baked potato. I guess it's a decent amount of food, but the steaks are nothing to write home about. I got the NY and although it was larger than I expected, it was very tough and fatty. Overall, nothing special. I think I'll probably return for lunch, to check out their burgers because I like the atmosphere, quiet and clean.
