Fun
I feel alive there. Enthusiastic even. Lots of good vibes. Not sure what the secret is to their atmosphere at Ford's, but it's simply electrifying to me. It's the good homey food, the play list, the comfortable wait staff, even Ben Ford himself. Its fun to watch him proudly preparing great food. You can see his hard work and love of food written all over the place. Rare to find a place that feels so good. And tastes good too. Yes. I love it.

Expensive but good - not for cheapies!
Yes, whiners...it is a little bit expensive. But I'd rather have a fun place with good beer and a strong menu that costs a bit more than something mediocre and unexceptional. So I won't go there every day. I'm glad Ford's is around. I'll take it over Gyenari, Rush Street, and Akasha any day of the week. Well trained and friendly staff. Really good food. A fun place with a touch of class.

My Fave LA Restaurant
Ford's is my new favorite LA restaurant. I've been several times since discovering it 2 months ago, and have had a good experience every time. The cured meats are a must-try (and I am not even a big cold meat person), as are Ford's delicious specialty drinks. Only complaint is that the cheese appetizers are a bit overpriced: for $12 I got a 1/2 inch cube of artisan cheddar. Really Fords? I could get a whole brick for the same price at Trader Joe's down the street. All in all, though, a good value and yummy dining experience.

I loved it!
The other day we went to Ford's - I had the porchetta sandwich and pink lemonade.... and then the cherry struesel cake - oh my gosh - i think i died and went to heaven! Can't wait to get back!

Hated it.
I had heard great things about the Fords Filling Station, then when I went there I had the unfortunate luck of dining a table away from a celebrity. Needless to say I hated my time while the celebrity looked like he was having the time of his life.

Hip new place in Culver City
We had the best service here. The people were friendly and happy to see us, not snooty like we expected from the prices. It was the first restaurant in L.A. where I gave the waitress more than a 20% tip in years. The atmosphere is great, reminded us of the east coast. Easy going. The food was pretty good too and the drinks at the bar were delicious. It is expensive, so for us, a "treat". But if you have lots of money, go there often. As an alternative, hang out at the bar with all the beautiful people and sip on one of their yummy apple martinis!
