Love the food dressing, mac n cheese, collard greens and sweet potatoes. The. Staff could be a lot friendlier, customer service is very important. Wish it was bigger and they had more restaurant locations. I live in Valencia. Best soul food.

Food is always fresh and good. Restaurant is small dark but quaint. TV to watch while waiting for food. Lunch specials are the best.

Food so good, that i wanted to slap my momma for not being a better cook. I am a long time customer ,but I only eat here once every month or so, because this kind of diet is not good for health.

My girlfriend & I went to this establishment for dinner. Ordered our food for there. It wasn't a long wait however, the first shocker was we were asked to come get our own food from the counter. I proceeded to eat, discovered the food was bland. I asked the waitress for some salt & she politely pointed to a back table that had a salt shaker (go get it yourself) Mac & cheese was inedible. My girlfriend also did not like her food. Ended up telling then I was not comfortable paying 30$ for this food. I also stated 30$ was to much to spend on food u don't like. The waitress then said "No it's not"! Never going back!!

The food was good before when they first started. Now, the food is average, the portion is small and the prices went up. The staffs are so unfriendly and it feels like Im not welcome cos of my asian background.

I discovered this place by accident. I was amazed at the quality of the food, how great it tastes, and it's consistent. Each time I go there, and I go there a lot I can expect healthy, tasting soul food. I'm so pleased to find this kind of restaurant in Torrance. And what's so cool about it, you can find a diverse clientele, all ages and professions chowing down on the great food. Oxtails, by the way are back on the menu!
