Impossibly romantic yet comfortable
This is the place to take someone you want to impress. It's pricey, but you'll feel comfortable and pampered in a casual way. Lots of meat, lots of sauces--but accessible French. I recently saw meatloaf on the menu, along with much more esoteric fare. The bartender is skilled and generous, too. Sit on the enclosed terrace if possible.
