    Westside is the best side!

Just visited Chego during their soft opening and though it is VERY different from the Kogi BBQ offerings, it is uber delicious! Everything that I tasted was on the spicy side but that is the way I like it. I'm pretty sure I heard one of the young handsome waiters deliver something to a nearby table "with no heat" though so it seems that orders can be highly customizable. The dining room is small but packs a LOT of personality. There are shelves with a crazy, awesome melange of "brought in" trinkets and there is chalk in the bathroom for patrons to leave their mark. I digress though, back to the food. The prime rib bowl is like heaven on earth with a perfect horseradish sauce and mixture of herby asian greens including fresh water spinach and thai basil. Every bowl is topped off with a sunny-sided egg. When mixed the yolk brakes and acts as a perfect binding agent to hold rice, spices, sauces, and protein together. This bowl however doesn't compare to the "Rock yer Road" desert. It is one of the MOST amazing things I have ever had. I am not a fan of rocky road ice cream but this concoction with it's fresh chocolate ice cream, nut and brownie topper, and the most delicious cherry (+ sauce) on Earth, is unbelievable. You truly have to taste it to understand it's power. In closing, I wanna add that I spotted "everyone's favorite hobbit" while I was there. Chego seems to have quite a following even though it hasn't officially opened.
