Good Food, Scowling Waitstaff
I was visiting from out of state and was brought to the Cedar House for a late lunch. We walked in and a very sour older couple just stared at us. We picked our table and a waitress came and took our order. There are no complaints about the food, it was really quite good, and it came to the table pretty fast, but nobody in that place smiles! I wonder if they don't value our business, or if they had a bad day, or that's just the way they are. I would definitely go back, but the coldness of the staff sure takes the zing out of it, I always say that mediocre food can be made better by excellent waitstaff, but really good food is not as enjoyable when the staff isn't so good.

The food is fantastic. Live Music!
The food is fantastic and healthy for a medium priced restaurant. Great live music on weekends. The service is pretty slow, but if you go there with some time to enjoy the meal, it is a perfect place to have a meal with friends and family.

disappointing
thought i'd try a new place becaues it was a little closer( we usually go to carnivale) cedar house was a disappointment . the shawarma was very dry , not much flavor. the hummus was just...okay. all food was very mediocre and we marveled at the super small portions. ( maybe they assume noone would want seconds?...they're correct) also - noisy and the waitress' did not attend charm school. however , they did have live music...which is always nice.

Not up to par
Twice been there, twice food was substandard and service just not there you do not feel welcomed.

It's all good
My wife and I frequently get takeout from Cedar House. The falafel plate is perfect, very traditional. The Lebanese style burger is well worth a try, not your typical fast food style burger. Funny, but I also think their fries are the best. The restaurant gets very busy on weekend nights, but order takeout and it's not an issue.

Cedar House Rules!
We work nearby and often go pick up the chicken salad and/or a side of hummus and pita for lunch. It's much better than the other places around, and nicer inside. It's always very cold in there during the summer, so bring a sweater or plan to sit outside.

yum
i've only had the shrimp kabobs and the falafels, but they are excellent. very very good falafels, low key, free baclava with check at the end of the meal.
