Stopped in on 8/8/2013 from New Orleans. The people someone refers to as "alkies" treated me extremely well! They asked me to sit with them and told me where to go. Also gave me directions to a local business I was looking for. Ended up having a great time with the locals for several hours and made my trip very memorable. Bartender fixed me up with a charging spot for my phone and all wished me a great trip when I left. You call them alkies....I call them people I won't forget!

The food was awesome. Plain and simple. All the people who said something was wrong with the food either have problems with their taste or just were angry because of the price. But hey, it's Malibu, what can you expect? And plus, it's really not even that pricey, every entree is pretty much around 10$, and a large pizza that you can share with many people is 16$. The atmosphere, i mean what more can you ask? Right next to Zuma beach, music on Saturday nights, and a very clean restaurant. The service is somewhere between good and really good. The reason I say that is because on the upside most waiters make you feel like you're at home and the food comes pretty quick, but the waiters aren't always so quick to get you something you need(refill, napkin, etc). Overall, I'll give spruzzo a 4.9 out of five. It really is a great restaurant and prefect place to eat right after the beach, biking, working out, or simply just out of hunger!

The only reason this place is still open is because of the price and lack of competition. Every time, and I mean every time, I have taken my family here, the order is served wrong and there is at least one meal that is undercooked. Meaning: kid's burger pink, cold and raw inside. It is stunning how many mistakes are made at this place when it's not busy, and when it is- good luck. When we've pointed out that an order is wrong or under cooked, the response is always so poor, it has become just...comical. It's saving grace was the cost and the fact that there is no other family place around here- but after giving this place so many 2nd chances resulting in SO many more bad experiences, that is it.

Isn't there street parking? Maybe not. Anyway, the patio and the view rival many more pricey restaurants. The worst part of the place is the "alkies" at the bar...but that is probably what pays the bills. Anything bread there is amazing...including pizza. The hot wings are great. SO ARE THE DRINKS...cocktails get a 10 and are several dollars cheaper than any place else. Sunset is spectacular.

This is a GREAT place to eat if you're hanging out at Zuma for the day. These other reviews are bizarre... There's not a ton of parking as it is in a shared lot, but it's a small restaurant and THERE'S A WHOLE BEACH TO PARK ALONG! The food there is delicious. Is it phenomenal? No. This is not a crazy upscale restaurant. It's just good italian. You won't feel like you're at a whole in the wall or a mom and pop. Just good quality food worth remembering and a nice atmosphere. Definitely some of the best food nearby. I used to live pretty close. Can you take a date there? For sure. Should you propose there? maybe not. I recommend the vodka ravioli!

I dont get how its spruzzo's fault for the parking, its in the mini shopping center across from zuma and the restauraunt doesn't own the parking area! i don't know what the three of you are talking about because the food was great,no questions. The servers had great attitudes, and came to check how we were doing and get us refills every two minutes. the atmosphere was the best your ever going to get because it's right across the street from the beach! And the value wasnt a big deal for me. And form people in malibu it definetly shouldn't since their all rich. Great place to eat.You should definetly go there.

The guy who said that this is a great place to bring a date must not get out much. The first two reviewers are correct, it's bland and boring. The fries are strange. It was ok to eat there, but it wasn't an experience. Dido on the parking it's not good.
