    The 60's Are Still Alive

If going into a restaurant where you can still smell the smoke in the air as you sit in your bright red booth in a restaurant darker than a freeway at 3 AM is your place, then nirvana is here. Holes in the red booths only further make you feel that this dinosaur is perfect for 60's starved eaters. The food is OK, the fish supposedly from the owner's fish company is average and the chicken is just OK. Steaks are good and in this kind of place you have to have a couple drinks. Happy hour drinks are large and don't kill the pocket book.

    Utter Disappointment

I stopped by to pick up two desserts, simple enough. I even called ahead of time and was told to stop by and it would only take "two seconds" (a quick order to fill). I got there....two tables had people (totaling 5 patrons), otherwise the place was empty. There were two waitresses and a bartender. One waitress told me to hold on and someone would help me in a moment....5 minutes later they were both walking by without even asking if I needed help. In all fairness, I had a menu open...I can see why they may not think I needed service... Finally I asked the bartender to take my order, he asked a waitress and was told to take care of it himself. I finally gave my order (hot apple pie and a slice of cheese cake to go). When I got home the apple pie was cold and looked as if it was stale...the cheesecake looked as if it was from a frozen container..both were not worth eating. I wont be going there again....

    Dinner at the Whip

Meals are pricey but not outrageously so. My boyfriend and I went there for our aniversary and recieved excellent service. Though neither of us ordered their signature green goddess salad the waitress brought both of us over a dish to try. GREAT steak.
