I've been ordering from Bamboo Forest for about six years and remain a loyal fan after a recent move. You get an enormous amount of food I love leftovers, but you can easily split meals and it's all of good quality for the price and tastes freshly made with fresh ingredients. Delivery is remarkably quick and cheery, and they are generous with the freebie extras like sauces, soy sauce, and fortune cookies. It's not unusual to hear knock on the door 15-20 minutes after hanging up the phone. The restaurant itself is a squeeze, but it has a bustling family restaurant feel to it. All in all, great food, great service, and great value.

My brother has been raving about this place forever, so when I moved into the area I tried delivery. I swear the food arrived in 20 minutes and the deliveryman is a very friendly guy and grateful for the smallest tips. But the food was amazing. The shrimp was the big juicy two bite crunchy kind and everything was seasoned perfectly. I had enough to feed 4 and I barely spent $25 with tip. Next time I decided to eat in. Same service, same great food but hard to find parking and they have only a few tables. Even lunch is crowded. But that's fine with me, take out or delivery is just as fast and just as good, so who cares. If you want to dine in, do so on Tuesday – Thursday nights. I recommend the Mushu Pork, and the Fish with Black Bean Sauce. Not crazy about the BBQ Pork. Not bad, just not traditional 5-spice version that most of us are used to. This is a great place. It is hard to keep small restaurants like this open when they are off Ventura nestled in neighborhoods like this one is, so I hope you try it. We need to support our local businesses and this one is well worth the effort.

This place is so good. They make it if your picky like me they way you want it. They buy the vegetables everyday nothing old. Very fast. I call in my order on the way there its so fast. If you get to Willis you past it, the first time you might pass it a lot but so worth finding. Chicken Fried Rice with White Meat at a decent price, the 1/2 sizes are huge and the prices are great. Sometimes a 1/2 order is a better deal than the lunch you only get white rice no soup or eggroll fried stuff, if you want lunch its a deal too. So have a Chinese night at the Bamboo Forest. You'll thank me.

this place is great if you get the lunch specials, and it's great if you opt for delivery (usually very fast) but i wouldn't recommend eating in just due to the fact that it's nothing special, and quite cramped. I definitely will continue to order seeing as how i've yet to be let down!

Awesome food nice and friendly staff, will modify recipes for you i.e. lower salt less spice etc. Very modest little restaurant a bit too confining for my tastes, best bet is to order and pick up. As to an earlier poster stating that they asked for a tip I have not had that experience from the man in the black specs.

Fortunately we live in the area or we would have never tried this gem out. great food and service is friendly! If you live by takeout or delivery, this is some of the best Chinese food outside of china town. The only knock I have is with the atmosphere inside. The lights are too bright and it generally lacks some finer touches. A few table candles and a dimmer switch would do worlds of good for it., but the food keeps you coming back!!

Good Food. Fair Value. The guy with glasses that works here expects a tip for take out orders. RIDICULOUS. If I was eating in or having the food delivered, fine. But not for a friggin Take Out order.
