    its fine, I over-reacted

I'm just tired of feeling a little burned at restaurants, that's all. Isaac is awesome, I feel pad panning his joint...but hey, we have ALOT of choices in LA, I'm from Highland Park, there's ALOT of amaaazing places there, and they give you alot. Isaac has amazing unique recipes, its VERy tasty, but its not a dive with dive prices, be prepared to spend a little extra for some amazing salsas on the side, its worth it if I could afford it, I'm the one who's cheap. I can't afford to eat out really. I wish him the very best, and feel bad about being critical, but hey, its a big city here.

quality is great, quantity is cheap

the carne asada burrito I had...probably cost them 25 cents to make, if that even...I seriously doubt I will ever eat there again. there were 2 little pieces of grizzly beef on each end of the burrito, and it was packed with rice and beans down the middle. Most of my friends agree with me, the guy has EXCELLENT recipes, but he's being WAY too cheap. In the long run, a restaurant will do way better if it is generous with its portions because customers will come BACK. Also...the food is mostly dead food, there's no fresh vegetables involved with anything. (another complaint I have). its EXTRA for just about anything, want some pico de gallo with that burrito? its a dollar extra, sorry. If you're a friend of his maybe he'll take care of you, but otherwise, you're just a sucker that stumbled in.

    ay caramba indeed!

Seriously the greatest find in the whole neighborhood. Isaac, the owner/chef is a dream and the food is unbelievably fresh and flavorful. I only wish they were open later. Make sure you try the guacamole and the huevos divorciados. Delish!

    great little gem!

we live in the area and eat there regularly. our daughter would eat there daily, if possible. isaac, the owner, is a great guy and makes amazing agua fresca (cucumber juice slushy). not your average California-mexican food - lighter so that the taste of the food comes through. we love it!

    Experience at this Restaurant

I ate here for the first and last time of my life. The atmosphere wasnt great. We received our chips & salsa about 15 mins into sitting down . I would recommend my viewers reading this to not eat here
