That was Thai?
I ordered lunch here with a friend of mine- I can't say the service was bad- the order was right and done on time. But the food was not good. My pad thai noodles were a BLOB and basically inedible. The eggrolls we got were mushy and almost tasteless. Still looking for good Thai in the valley...

The best Thai ever!
The first time I ever experienced Thai food was at Anajak almost 30 years ago and over the years it is still the only place I will go for Thai food. It was alot smaller than it is now but still had the same friendly and wonderful service they have today not to mention all of the incredible memories I have experienced there like seeing Rick's kids when they were little at one of the back tables doing their homework or the first date my husband and I had there in one of the front tables. Not only does it have a special place in my heart but the food has been nothing less than "spot on". If you truly want a special experience you have to have the Chan Ram dipped in the yummy plum peanut sause. The first time I had it it wasn't even on the menu, Rick made it special for me. Also their broccoli and chicken with oyster sauce and garlic chicken are delicious. Actually everything I have ever eaten there has always been fresh, perfectly cooked and seasoned and has always been top quality food. If you haven't tried Anajak Thai then you are truly missing out on great food and a wonderful dining experience.

Do not recommend the Pad Thai
My roommate and I wanted to try a new Thai place so we both ordered Pad Thai for takeout. I can't rate the service since we took it home (the lady who took our money and gave us our food was pleasant), but that was seriously the most disappointing pad thai we've ever had. I can't speak for their curries as I didn't have any but my roommate - a hungry 24 year old guy - threw most of it away rather than subject our other roommate to accidentally eating the leftovers. The chicken was of the questionable quality that makes you wonder if it's really chicken. I'm not an amazing cook but I've made better. Parking not so great either.

Too expensive for lunch... but delicious!
If you don't mind paying $12 - $18 (incld. tax & tip) for lunch, then this place is great. Had chicken panang, was super yummy. Lunchmates had the thai bbq lunch special (which was a cheaper) and they said it was tasty. The plates had a nice presentation and the atmosphere was calm and cool, in a hot valley afternoon. Next time I go, I will order the Steak Salad, which sounded and looked amazing (at a nearby table).

Great Thai in Sherman Oaks
The Summer Palace entree with tofu is the best!! Their Tom Khar soup is amazing! It seems a little over priced...the servings are a little on the small side for two people to share, but too much for one person to eat on their own. Overall it is a great restaurant.

Best Place In California
My husband and I first ate here more than 20 years ago. The food has remained outstanding and the place has doubled in size since our first visit to Anajak. Our family has grown since then, and a new breed of Anajak fans have been born. Rick and Rattikorn are wonderful and ensure a great time is had by all. You must stop by and treat yourself to a delicious time. I recommend the Cashew Chicken (our family favorite). You won't regret it. :)

Best Thai out of Thailand
I dine here on a regular basis. LOVE IT. The service is great, Clean, and the price is reasonable. I have been to Thailand on my travels and I have to say that their food is just as good as the food in Thailand. Their Panaang is to die for. I took some Indian friends visiting from England (and Indians know their curry) and they said that the Panaang curry was AMAZINGLY good. I can even say it was as good as some Panaang that I had in Thailand. If you live in the Valley there is no need to drive to Thai Town to get Thai food when you have Anajak.
